The Salon. Front-end additions for a repeat client

The page that was always there.

New pages, WhatsApp messaging and a Google Map for a website someone else built, matched so closely to the existing design that the join is invisible.

What she asked for

The salon already had a website the owner liked. What she needed was new pages, built to promote new parts of the business, that would sit inside the existing site without looking bolted on. No redesign, no rebuild. The new work had to adopt the site's layout, typography, colours and rhythm as if it had been there from day one.

What I built

Pages written in plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript to match the existing design system exactly. The spacing, the typefaces, the way images sit, the way buttons behave. Each page was made fully responsive, slotted into the site's navigation, and tested across devices before handover. Alongside the pages I wired in WhatsApp messaging, so a visitor can start a chat from anywhere on the site, and embedded a Google Map so the salon is easy to find.

It became a repeat relationship. Several projects together, each one extending the site a little further, always to the same standard.

Why it took care

Matching someone else's design system is harder than building your own, and more valuable to the client who already loves their site.
Fully responsive across mobile and desktop, at the same breakpoints the original site already used.
WhatsApp chat and a Google Map added without disturbing the look of a site I did not build.
Slotted into the existing navigation and tested on real phones and laptops, so the pages behave like the rest of the site rather than sitting beside it.
