Botanica: a store built accurate to the pixel.

There is no client behind Botanica. I built it to answer the question every prospective client asks, which is what a finished store from me actually looks like. So I locked a design spec first, the way a skincare brand would hand one over: warm cream ground, serif typography, arched image panels, a film-grain texture, a quiet editorial tone. Then I held myself to it. The test was whether the spec and the finished store would be indistinguishable, and whether the owner of a store like this could edit any of it without touching code.

A complete storefront. Homepage, product pages, cart and checkout, with ingredient subtitles, UK shipping zones and a custom PHP payment gateway plugin. It is a demonstration gateway, so no live payments are taken. The homepage is built in Elementor as native, editable widgets rather than pasted HTML, so any section can be changed from the editor.

Underneath the surface, the important decision was where the design lives. Every colour, type style and spacing value lives in a custom Blocksy child theme rather than in the pages themselves, which means a theme or WordPress update cannot flatten the design system. The site runs as a Dockerised deployment with automatic HTTPS.
