On Squarespace

Sunset Suites was living on a Squarespace template that no longer did the place justice, paying monthly fees for a platform with limits and a site the owners didn't really own. They wanted a fresh design built around their own photography, ready for a booking system, on a WordPress site they controlled, with the domain, SSL and hosting properly sorted. And they wanted the change to happen without the site disappearing while guests were trying to book.

The redesign, then the move

I redesigned the site from a blank page on WordPress with the Kadence theme. Photography leads every page, each of the three suite types gets its own space, and there is a clear path to enquire and book from anywhere. With the new site built, I migrated the content off Squarespace onto Hostinger, connected the domain, set up SSL, and launched with minimal downtime. Guests never lost the site.

That was February 2026. The relationship didn't end at launch. I still look after the site on an ongoing hourly basis, handling updates, fixes and new content as the hotel's plans change, and the owner has since hired me again to build a second website.

What made the difference

  • A design built around the hotel's own photography rather than a stock template, so the site finally looks like the place.
  • A cutover planned so the site never went dark. The domain switched cleanly, with SSL in place from the first minute.
  • Structure built booking-ready, so a reservation system can slot in without a rebuild.
  • Photography-first layouts that let the Sea of Abaco do the selling.
  • Hosting, domain and site all handed over in the client's name, with every login written down.
  • A client who came back. After launch the owner kept me on for maintenance, then hired me to build a second site.
“Narwinder did a great job, we are continuing to use her on an hourly basis. I highly recommend her.”
